APEX 2024 V1

Enhanced Security, Runtimes, and Support of SolidWorks 2024 and Win 11 Pro Editions

APEX 2024 V1 -- now available

October 9, 2024 – Tucson, AZ – Breault Research Organization announces the release of APEX 2024 V1. The release focuses on integration support for SolidWorks 2024 and licensing support for Windows 11 Pro Editions.

SolidWorks 2024 & Win 11 Pro Support

APEX 2024 V1 takes advantage of all current enhancements found in SolidWorks 2024. APEX templates and BRO Optical Parts Design Library now target SolidWorks 2024 on installation.

This new release also upgrades previous licensing runtime environments to Sentinel 9.12 to provide licensing support for Windows 11 Pro Editions. The Sentinel 9.12 upgrade also provides increased security and improves operational runtimes. In addition, the Start menu Sentinel Admin Control Center (SACC) shortcut now points to the Sentinel Version 9.12 SACC.

Accelerated APEX Development

APEX 2024 V1 marks the starting point of toolset modernization and the adoption of a new development process.

The BreaultSWD development process, that began with ASAP, is now refined to rapidly address customer issues and feature requests via the Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) methodology.

The result? More frequent releases with less impact between major releases.

Leveraging the Power of SolidWorks
As an add-in to the SolidWorks environment, APEX is a favored choice for optical system designers, engineers, and optical scientists worldwide. With the full power and sophistication of SolidWorks, there is never a need to translate or bridge between the programs. In APEX, users learn, create, design, and analyze in the SolidWorks environment. The APEX add-in seamlessly melds the worlds or computer aided design and optical engineering, resulting in an “optics aware” design application.
