BRO License Offerings
PERPETUAL
BRO continues to sell perpetual licenses for all software offerings — ASAP, APEX, RefCAD, as well as the ASAP Modules: BIO Toolkit, ELTM, CATIA. As long as the license and the computer or network on which it is hosted are in good working order, the license should work. However, a perpetual license does not imply that it is guaranteed to run forever. Nor does it imply perpetual support from BRO.
There are certain events, beyond BRO’s control, that can result in a catastrophic loss of a license. These include, but are not limited to: Improper rehosting of a license, Hardware failure, Network malfunctions. Such events can impair the license, clone the license, and result in a catastrophic loss of the license. In such instances, without a valid Software Support Plan “Maintenance”, the only remedy is to purchase a new license.
SOftware Support Plan
BRO’s Software Support Plan, also known as “Maintenance”, is a yearly purchase that protects the license in the event of catastrophic loss. Benefits include:
- Access to software updates, bug fixes, security releases
- Issuance of previous installers, if needed
- Technical support for installations
- Rehosting assistance to prevent cloning or loss of license
- Engineering support for model setup, scripting questions, etc.
- Free license re-issue in the event of hardware failure, network failure, rehosting issues, corruption of license, or catastrophic loss of license
- Discount on all training courses
